A Proper Heavyweight Clash
We’ve got a great fight to look forward to on Saturday with Joshua v Dubois. It will be a big historic moment for the sport as two British fighters go head-to-head for the IBF heavyweight world title at Wembley Stadium, where there is always a terrific atmosphere.
Points To Prove
Both fighters have similar styles of boxing. They’ve both got a big punch on them, and they’re coming into this fight with points to prove after they both lost to Oleksandr Usyk. Joshua and Dubois come from a similar background as both competed for Team GB in the early days of their careers. Away from that, this will be the first time Dubois has fought at Wembley Stadium. It will be interesting to see how he steps up to the big occasion in front of a huge crowd.
Joshua Can Land The Knockout Blow
When it comes to my thoughts on this fight, I think Anthony Joshua will win. Since he lost to Usyk in 2022, his fortunes have changed, and he comes here having won his last five fights.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he got off to a fast start and knocked Dubois out early. I can see Joshua getting a stoppage in the first or second round, and I predict that the fight won’t go past the fourth round. Overall I just think Joshua will have the edge on Dubois with his speed and strength.
Don’t Discount Dubois
Having said that, I wouldn’t be totally shocked if Dubois did pull off an upset. Dubois has done well to recover since losing to Usyk last year, but this will be one of the biggest tests of his boxing career to date.
There is also a really good undercard at Wembley with several mouthwatering fights. It’s definitely going to be a fantastic day for British boxing.
I hope you all enjoy the fight, and you’ll be hearing from me again soon.
