Palace Finding Their Feet
After a slow start to the season, Crystal Palace are starting to put some results together, and they are unbeaten in their last four matches in all competitions. Last season they’re form really picked up with the appointment of Austrian manager Oliver Glasner. However, the Eagles did lose some of their key players in the summer, which included Michael Olise to Bayern Munich. On the other hand, they were able to keep Marc Guehi and Eberchi Eze, which was a massive plus for them.
Manchester United have had a mixed start. After losing to Brighton and Liverpool, the pressure was starting to turn on Erik Ten Hag, but wins over Southampton and Barnsley have steadied the ship for the time being.
Rashford Can Find The Net
One thing that will be key to Manchester United moving forward is if they can get Marcus Rashford playing well. Since the international break, it looks like Ten Hag has begun to trust him again. Last week Rashford scored against Southampton, and then he bagged himself a brace against Barnsley on Tuesday night. For me, he’s always been a confident player. I wouldn’t be surprised if he continued his little streak and scored this weekend.
Mateta The Main Man
Having said that, Crystal Palace will give Manchester United a game. Their star striker Jean-Philippe Mateta scored a career-best sixteen goals in the Premier League last season and he scored a brace against Leicester City last weekend. The Frenchman is 7/4 to score anytime, which I can’t let go.
Overall, I do think this will be a close game, but I do think Crystal Palace will get a positive result. The crowd always gets behind the Eagles at Selhurst Park, and it can be an intimidating place to go. Therefore, I am going to edge it at 2-1.
