Romania played out a somewhat predictable draw against Slovakia last time out, a result which safeguarded both teams’ passage to the knockout stages and allowed Romania to top the group. The Romanians have been solid defensively and are a capable side, I feel they are likely to prove a tough nut for the Dutch to crack tonight.
The Netherlands were the best placed 3rd team in the group stages and came through a difficult group with 4 points. They were on the wrong end of a 5-goal thriller against Austria, which robbed them of a chance to top the group but gave them passage to the safer side of the draw for the knock out stages. They will know that there is a route to the final for them, if they can grasp this opportunity.
