Blackburn have endured a difficult season, and their FA Cup run has proved a welcome distraction in a season that has been far more focused on avoiding relegation than making the play-offs. They picked up a valuable point at home against Norwich at the weekend and will be keen to give their fans some cheer against Premier league opposition.
Newcastle were demolished on Saturday night against Arsenal and after last year’s fabulous campaign they’ve failed to hit the same heights this season. They’ve struggled with injuries all season and Eddie Howe has had many of his options limited. With Europa qualification still a possibility it will be interesting to see how strong a line up they name tonight.
