Looking ahead to this weekend, I’m off to Worcester on Sunday, where I have three rides on the card. A couple of them look to have nice chances, so it would be great to come away with a winner.
2.10 Worcester – Ginger Pointe (Danny Brooke)
I’ll be riding for my brother here. He was a good winner last time out at Market Rasen when winning on his chase debut. The handicapper has given him a 7lb rise for that success, but he could still be open to more improvement as he’s lightly raced over fences. He looks to be my best chance on the card.
3.10 Worcester – Happy Du Mesnil (Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero)
This lad has had a little bit of a break. He showed some good form earlier this summer, which included a win at Southwell and a couple of second-placed efforts. He can be a little bit frustrating at times, but he usually runs his race. Hopefully he can pick up from where he left off.
4.10 Worcester – Fond Farewell (Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero)
He’s been a little bit disappointing for Olly and Josh, finishing down the field twice on the Flat. Before that, he had shown some good form on the level in Ireland, so there is some ability there. This will be his first run over hurdles, so maybe he could show some improvement as he starts his jumping career.
I hope you all have a great weekend, and you’ll be hearing from me again soon.
