WINGMEN
Looks a prospect for Gordon Elliot having won on hurdle debut and scored multiple times last season in Bumpers. Owners, Bective Stud have been amongst the winners, with three on the card at Navan last weekend.

SPRINGWELL BAY
All eyes will be on the card’s second race and the most expensive jumps horse in training – Caldwell Potter. Coming off a win at Carlisle where he was allowed to run freely, this race may prove to be a slightly stiffer test and I’m happy to take him on at the prices. Jonjo O’Neill saddles ultra consistent Springwell Bay who disappointed on his last appearance but won four times over hurdles last season, including winning over 2mile 5f here a year ago.

SHAKEM UP’HARRY
Brilliant winner of The Plate here in March, jumping his rivals into submission under 11st 15lbs. He faded quickly in the Topham over the national fences a few weeks later, but it is very likely that race came a little too soon after his Festival heroics. so we’ll forgive him that run and hope he doesn’t need a blow out on his reappearance here. Definitely the class horse in the race on most recent form.

ZAIN NIGHTS
Completed a Hat-Trick of wins over three miles last spring for up-and-coming trainer Lucy Wadham. Finished third here in October when getting slightly squeezed for room in the run in, albeit looked no match for the winner. Pulled Up with eight others in a fifteen-runner field at Haydock last time out, in truly horrible conditions. Put a line through that one and take the booking of Champion Jockey Harry Cobden as a real positive here.
