Ayr is a lovely, fair left handed track. Quite similar to Uttoxeter, the best horse almost always wins there. I really like going there, despite the fact it’s an eight hour round trip for me.
Saturday – Ayr 13:23
PATS DREAM
A horse that’s come from Rose Dobbins and had really good form in P2P. He hasn’t really shown that form again but seems to be going well at home now and maybe turned a corner so hoping for an improved performance come Saturday.
Thursday – Carlisle 13:57
DONNACHA
In the second I like Donnacha for Nigel Hawke. Won well at Exeter over 2miles and 2 furlongs. Carlisle and Exeter are quite similar tracks. Again, a horse that likes soft ground and if he can carry his previous form into jumping fences off this kind of mark he should run a nice race
Saturday – Ayr 14:29
WHITE RHINO
This lad needs no introduction after his heroics last season. We’re all super excited to see him go over fences now. He’s schooled really well at home and despite this being a competitive little race he’s good enough to have the beating of these rivals. I’m really looking forward to him starting his chasing career.
Sunday – Huntingdon 13:03
FINN LOUGH
On Sunday we go over fences with Finn Lough who was narrowly beaten at Warwick last month. The general feel is that the horses are in better shape now than in early October. He put in a good round of jumping that day so we’re confident he can go there and win on Sunday.

ANKUD
It’s nice to get this ride for Liam Bailey in the ‘Rhino Bet Proudly Sponsor Henry Brooke Claiming Hurdle’ no less!! It would be great to win my own race. The horse is rated 122 and there’s some decent form having previously been at Gordon Elliot. He can be a bit of a handful to ride but there is definitely ability there. Let’s hope he’s in the mood.
Have a great weekend everyone!
