Hull Are Underestimated
Going into this game, the betting has Sheffield United as the 23/20 favourites and Hull City as the outsiders at 12/5. I think this is a little bit out of sync, and the betting should be a little bit closer.
Though Hull haven’t won a league game this season, they’ve been hard to beat. The Tigers have drawn three games, and their only defeat came to Leeds United, who are one of the promotion challengers this season.
A Reset For The Tigers
Letting Liam Rosenior was a strange decision by the owners, as Hull were a good team last season and nearly made the playoffs. They also lost a couple of key players with the likes of Liam Delap to Ipswich, so it’s probably taken a while for them to adjust.
Steady Start For The Blades
Sheffield United, on the other hand, haven’t lost too many of their players from the Premier League, and they’ve got an experienced squad with Chris Wilder at the helm. So far the Blades are undefeated after four games, but they have drawn two.
Blades A Bogey Team?
When it comes to their recent head-to-head record, Sheffield United have been a bad team for Hull City. Sheffield United are unbeaten in their last six meetings between the teams, though they’ve not met for a couple of seasons. I think you can throw that stay out the window, as a lot of the players have changed since they last met.
Overall, when it comes to this game, I think Hull City might be able to get a result. They had one of the best home records in the division last season, and they don’t concede too many goals. The double chance is currently 8/11 with Rhino, and I think that’s the way I am going to play this game.
