1.40 – Euro2024 Daily Giveaways On Rhino.Bet EBF Maiden Stakes – Mission Command (Win)
This could be a hot race, with many leading stables represented, but I am just going to go for Mission Command. His trainer George Scott has done well with two-year-olds in recent years, and a few of them have gone on to run good races at Royal Ascot, especially in these colours.
The son of Acclamation holds a few entries, including in the Group 2 Railway Stakes in Ireland. It looks like connections hold him in some regard. It could be a tough ask for him to run well on his debut, but if the market vibes are strong, he’s one to keep an eye on.
2.15 – Charge Up Your Summer With Rhino.Bet Restricted Maiden Stakes – Get Jiggy With It (Win)
I’m just going to go for Get Jiggy With It, but she’s not a strong fancy. She has been a little frustrating for connections after a string of second-place efforts.
The daughter of Highland Reel has raced over 7f in her career, so it’s interesting to see her stepping up in trip. If you look at her pedigree, she’s bred to be effective over further. I’m surprised she’s not been tried over this trip before and she gets the nod to break her maiden tag.
2.50 – Boost Your Winnings At Rhino.Bet Handicap – Persian Phoenix (Each Way)
With the ground drying out, it might just favour Persian Phoenix. He took a step in the right direction when he finished second at Hamilton last month. His sire, Phoenix Of Spain, was effective on a fast surface, so it’s likely he’ll handle it. If Connor Beasley decides to go forward on him, then he might find it hard to pass.
3.25 – Daily Offers At Rhino.Bet Handicap – Never This Way (Win)
Never This Way was a bit unlucky last time out when he didn’t get a clear run. He wasn’t beaten far when he finished sixth at Beverley, and the handicapper has dropped him 2lb for that run. With the ground drying out, I can see him bouncing back to form in a weaker race.
3.55 – Sky Bet Extra Places Every Day Handicap – Liberated Lad (Each Way)
Liberated Lad put up a valiant display when he just went down in second place over this course and distance. He’s just been a very consistent horse over this trip, and he has plenty of good runs next to his name at Nottingham. I don’t think this is the strongest of races, and I can see him making the frame again.
4.25 – Sky Bet Acca Freeze Handicap – Cruyff Turn (Each Way)
Tim Easterby’s stable seemed to have turned a corner, and I think his Cruyff Turn is becoming very well-handicapped. He is now 5lb below his last winning mark, and I didn’t think his run at York was that bad last month. The seven-year-old gelding has won at Nottingham before, and I can see him adding another course win to his career tally.
4.55 – Sky Bet Club Handicap (Div I) – Helter Skelter (Win)
Helter Skelter was a real eye-catcher when finishing eighth at York. He was caught right off the back and ran through a lot of beaten horses when he got going. The son of Elzaam is now stepping up in trip, and that looks like a positive move. I can see the market taking a real plunge on this horse, and he could go off favourite.
5.30 – Sky Bet Club Handicap (Div II) – Bernadine (Each Way)
This is a tricky closer, but I am just going to go for Bernadine for James Fanshawe. I don’t think she appreciated the underlations of Brighton last time out, and coming back here where she’s won before will suit. George Dobie is booked for the ride and will be able to claim a handy 3lb, so that will also help. I think she’s a solid each-way contender.
