Gunners Slight Favourites
Arsenal have made the perfect start to the season after winning all three of their games and come into this match as favourites. Spurs, on the other hand, have had mixed fortunes, only winning once at home to Everton 4-0.
Midfield Issues
When it comes to the team news for this game, Arsenal could be in a little bit of trouble as their captain Martin Odegaard picked up an injury on international duty for Norway. He’s not been an influential player for them so far this season, but he is an important part of their midfield. The Gunners are also going to be out with Declan Rice, who picked up a suspension against Brighton. With two key players missing for them, their midfield could look a little light, so that’s something to keep in mind.
Spurs also have a couple of doubts. New signing Dominic Solanke is subject to a late fitness test, along with defender Micky Van De Ven, so Ange Postecoglu will have a few last-minute decisions to make.
Expect Goals
The North London Derby has produced many memorable games over the years, and last season’s games were no exception. Arsenal managed to come away in both games without defeat last season, but they had to share the points at The Emirates against Spurs in a 2-2 draw.
For this game, I think we’re going to see a lot of goals, as three of the last four meetings have produced at least four or more goals. Though Arsenal’s defence is headed by William Saliba, I think the likes of Son and Maddison will still cause Arsenal problems by overrunning the midfield. It’s currently 13/10 for over 3.5 goals in this game at the time of writing.
Son Can Score
Also Son Heung-Min to score anytime at 19/10 represents a good bit of value. The South Korean likes playing against the Gunners, having scored seven goals against them in his career. That also included a brace at the Emirates last season. Though the 32-year-old has been on his travels with South Korea, their last game was on Tuesday, so he would have had a bit of time to recover for this game.
Overall, I think either team could win this game, but whatever happens, I predict that we’ll see goals.
