Prates Can Pounce In Perth
First up is Li Jingliang vs. Carlos Prates. Li has been fighting for many years and has loads of experience in the UFC compared to Carlos, who is pretty new and only joined this year, but Carlos has had three fights since he joined and won them all. I’d bet on Carlos Prates to win this one.
Tuivasa Can Taste Success
Next up is ‘Western’ Tai Tuivasa, who everyone knows for drinking beer from a shoe. He will fight Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Tuivasa is the favourite, but based on past fights, he has shown that he is good against lower-level fighters, but when he’s up against someone more well known, he finds it tough. When I look back at Jairzinho’s fights, it looks like he’s had a strange progression with a win, loss, win, loss record.
He recently won his last fight, so is his next fight going to be a loss based off his history? Tai is in his home country as well, so he has the extra motivation to win there. I’m going to say Tai will win the fight by decision.
Gamrot Will Be Too Good
The next fight will be between Mateusz Gamrot and Dan Hooker. Everyone knows that Dan Hooker is a good fighter. He recently fought Arnold Allen and just struck him in the face with blow after blow until it was covered in blood. It was a good fight.
Mateusz is a great fighter; he’s had a good record recently and is on a winning streak with his last four fights, whereas Dan Hooker has had to delay a few fights lately. I’ll say that Mateusz will win this by KO.
Erceg Can Be The Party Pooper
Next up is Australian Kai Kara-France who fights Steve Erceg. Steve Erceg is a new signing to the UFC and has had a good record of wins since he joined. Kai is a good fighter, but I don’t really rate him highly. I didn’t vote for Steve Erceg last time, but he proved his worth, and I feel that he will win this time by decision.
Du Plessis Can Dominate
The main event will be an exciting fight because both fighters have been trash talking each other in the run-up arguing about who’s the real African. The two fighters are Dricus Du Plessis and Israel Adesanya. It will be interesting to watch because Du Plessis is pure African and is originally from South Africa, where he grew up and still lives.
Adesanya was born in Nigeria and grew up there very poor, so it will be interesting to see the battle of the Africans and to see who will take the belt this time for the pride of Africa. I would choose Dricus Du Plessis to win as he is so good and Israel hasn’t fought for a while. Maybe Israel has the fire inside and is ready to unleash it after a long break, but Du Plessis has always shown real hunger in his fights, so I’d say Du Plessis to win with a ground and pound.
Good luck to you all!
