Georgia vs Portugal: Expectations and Predictions

Georgia secured their first ever point in the Euros last time out against the Czech Republic. The Georgians have had a great time in Germany and their fans have been behind the team providing great support. They have scored in both of their matches so far and will be hoping they can repeat the feat against a very strong Portuguese side tonight. A win would take them to the last 16, and whilst it seems unlikely, why shouldn’t they dare to dream?

Portugal needed a late goal against the Czech Republic in their first match, but since that goal went in they have roared into top gear. They dismantled Turkey last time out, and it feels like they are just getting started. Top spot is assured and tonight they should be able to rotate some of their players and give an opportunity to some of their bench, who will be eager to push their claim for a starting place in the last 16.

26th June | 8pm – Gelsenkirchen
