Carlisle Racing Preview: Kode Secret Can Find The Winning Formula

There are seven races on the card for Rhino Bet’s fixture at Carlisle on Thursday. I am intrigued by Andrew Balding sending just the one runner to the northern track, and I think he can come away with a winner.
Brigadier Gerard Preview

5.55 – Daily Giveaways On Rhino.Bet Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap – Huddle Up (Win)

I think Huddle Up could be the way to go here. This six-year-old gelding hasn’t been disgraced in either of his races this season. The drop back to 6f looks sure to suit, and he won’t mind a bit of ease in the ground. If you look back at his form, you’ll see he’s well-handicapped on his old form, though he’s not the easiest to win with. Alice Keighley is booked for the ride, and she is an experienced amateur, so that isn’t a worry in a race of this nature. With all those things in his favour, I’m expecting a bold run.

6.25 – Daily Football Offers At Rhino.Bet EBF Restricted Maiden Fillies’ Stakes – Larchill Lass (Win)

There isn’t too much form to go on in this race, but Larchill Lass sets the standard. She’s been knocking on the door, finishing second on both her career starts to date at Beverley. Both of those runs came on softer ground, so the current going of soft at Carlisle shouldn’t pose a problem to her. I expect her to put her experience to good use here, and she’s the one to beat, unless there is an impressive performance lurking from one of the newcomers.

6.55 – Follow Us On X At BetRhino Restricted Novice Stakes – It Ain’t Two (Win)

This is a step down in grade for It Ain’t Two after she finished eighth in the Listed Marygate Stakes at York earlier this month. That race was over 5f, and it’s interesting to see Hugo Palmer stepping her up in trip. Her half-brother Balon D’Or stayed 7f, so this extra furlong furling should suit. It looks like a good opportunity for her to bounce back.

7.25 – Daily Charged Up Offers At Rhino.Bet Handicap – Blufferonthebus (Win)

Blufferonthebus was a ready winner when scoring at Carlisle last week, pulling away from all her rivals. The daughter of the Ribchester is stepping up another furlong, but the way she suggests that shouldn’t be an issue. Furthermore, the ground will be fine, as she won on soft ground at Pontefract last month. She will have to carry a 6lb penalty for her latest win, but I don’t think that will be enough to stop her.

This looks like a match between Galyx and Haya, but I am just going to side with the latter. Haya is getting lots of weight from her opposition, as she’s still a maiden. However, some of her form reads well, particularly her second at Windsor last time out. I just think the fact she’s gets 12lb from Galyx could be a huge factor, and Andrew Balding looks to have found an ideal opportunity to get her head in front.

8.25 – Rhino.Bet Home Of Charged Up Sport Handicap – Kode Secret (Win)

Kode Secret took a big step forward when finishing second at Redcar last time out. The son of Kodiac is 2lb higher, but I don’t see that being too much of an issue. This looks to be the weakest race on the card, and I think he could go on and get an easy lead. He can step forward and go one step better here.

8.55 – Follow Rhino Bet On Instagram Handicap – Sonning (Win)

There are a few here with chances, but maybe this could be the day for Sonning. He ran a good race when he got going late on to finish third at Ripon earlier this month. The six-year-old gelding has won over further during his career, so stepping up in trip looks positive. It has been a while since he won the Flat, but I think he’s on a good mark and can get his head in front.

Bet Of The Day: 7.55 – Haya
