Portugal had a perfect record in qualification, with 10 wins from 10 games and just 2 goals conceded. They have a brilliant side peppered with talent, and in Cristiano Ronaldo have an evergreen talent who hit 10 goals during their qualifying campaign. If the Portuguese are able to top their group, they are likely to avoid several of the top sides and have, on paper at least, a clear path to the latter stages of the event.
Is it really 28 years since the Czech lit up Euro 96 in England and made it to the final? That was a side that played with real flair, something that is a little lacking in this current squad. The Czechs are likely to be difficult to break down and will almost certainly rely on set pieces for goals, as exemplified by Tomas Soucek being their top scorer during qualification.
