They have not quite hit the heights of their performance against Croatia in their last 2 fixtures, but they will surely have too much for Georgia tonight. Spain are in the tougher half of the draw and any route to the final will see them take on Europe’s most powerful sides.
Georgia sprung the biggest surprise of the tournament, beating Portugal 2-0 out last time, to take their place in the last 16. Their attacking play has been a joy to watch, and hopefully they will get a chance to test the Spanish rearguard in tonight’s encounter. Whatever happens tonight, it’s been a wonderful tournament for the Georgians and they have represented their country brilliantly.
