Poland’s fan will be in Berlin in big numbers as they attempt to overcome the agony of the late defeat against the Netherlands. They created a number of chances against the Dutch but without Lewandowski up front they were unable to find the cutting edge required. It looks likely the Barcelona striker will play a part in this game and the Polish fans will be hopeful that he will provide the quality they lacked in the final third.
Austria took many plaudits and praise from their narrow loss against France where only an own goal separated the sides. Ralf Ranganick has his troops brilliantly marshalled, and they look extremely capable in defense. They actually had more possession than France in their first game and I expect they will dominate the ball here today. For fans of longer odds a low scoring win for Austria could be of appeal.
